The School's new lakeside kitchen venue has a specially designed kitchen (separate to the two main hotel kitchens) and demonstration area making us a very popular cookery school in Ireland.

Full Day Workshops - €120 Per Person
Why not visit the Pontoon Bridge Hotel for a full day cooking workshop. Workshops take place from 10.30am to 4.30 pm or Book our fantastic special offer which includes 2 B&B, 1 Dinner plus Full Day Cookery Course all for just €199 per person sharing.
Our challenge is to show you how simple cooking should be with no boring talking – straight to cooking – showing you how to select the best produce.
10am : Introduction and informal chat about the day. They begin the day by preparing baking of Brown Bread, Fruit Scones, Brown Scone and Vegetable Soup or Seafood Chowder.
12pm: Coffee break and snack, followed by lunchtime preparation for a Roulade of Salmon, Ranch Chicken or if the attendees have special requests.
2pm Enjoy a relaxing Lunch, where you get to eat what you have prepared in the morning, whilst overlooking the lake with a lovely glass of Wine.
3pm Back to work for Dessert preparation, which is a Strawberry Soufflé or Bread and Butter Pudding or Baked Alaska.
4.30pm Time to go home and gather up your notes, recipes, and of course, taste the desserts
Demonstration classes are the ultimate luxury - Sip a glass of wine and relax while you taste expertly demonstrated and delicious dishes. A minimum of 10 and maximum of 16 is required.
Upon request our Cookery School Mayo can take special demonstration bookings or tailor a class to your requirements for groups, friends, work colleagues or business gatherings. While all courses have a serious and professional aim, the course is intensive but is also a great deal of fun. Classes will impart simple yet sophisticated cuisine, with an emphasis on freshness and quality of seasonal ingredients prepared with good technique and style. Classes are usually run in the evenings.
